Password Policy

To change your password, use the following command after logging in,

passwd

Password Requirements,

• Passwords must be updated every 180 days.

• The new password must be at least 13 characters long.

• The new password must not contain more than 5 consecutive characters from the previous password.

• The new password must include at least 3 of the following 4 character types,

  • Numbers (0–9)

  • Uppercase letters (A–Z)

  • Lowercase letters (a–z)

  • Special characters (e.g., ! @ # $ % ^ & *)
